Michigan’s online casino operators reported $301.2M of iGaming gross receipts in June 2026, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board’s 2026 internet gaming revenue workbook (XLSX) and its June 2026 revenue release, published on 2026-07-21. After allowable deductions, mainly promotional credits, adjusted gross receipts (AGR), the figure Michigan taxes, were $289.2M, +28.0% against June 2025 (our calculation).

Gross receipts were +25.2% year on year and −1.5% against May 2026’s $305.8M (our calculation). Operators paid $60.8M in iGaming taxes and payments to the State of Michigan. The three Detroit commercial operators paid $13.5M to the City of Detroit, and tribal operators paid $8.4M to their governing bodies. Michigan taxes iGaming AGR on a sliding scale of 20% to 28%.
Sports betting
Online sportsbooks took $366.1M in handle, with gross receipts of $40.1M and AGR of $20.1M. State taxes and payments were $1.5M at the 8.4% rate on AGR, and Detroit received $0.5M. Operators with negative AGR pay no tax, so the statewide tax can differ from 8.4% of statewide AGR.
