Online casino

Gross receipts were +20.9% year on year and +0.5% against June 2026’s $301.2M (our calculation). Operators paid $61.2M in iGaming taxes and payments to the State of Michigan. The three Detroit commercial operators paid $13.5M to the City of Detroit, and tribal operators paid $8.4M to their governing bodies. Michigan taxes iGaming AGR on a sliding scale of 20% to 28%. Hannahville suspended its iGaming and online sports operations from July to November 2025, so the year-ago comparison covers a slightly different set of operators.

Sports betting

Online sportsbooks took $355.2M in handle, with gross receipts of $43.4M and AGR of $30.8M. State taxes and payments were $2.1M at the 8.4% rate on AGR, and Detroit received $0.6M. Operators with negative AGR pay no tax, so the statewide tax can differ from 8.4% of statewide AGR.
