“Win” is gross gaming revenue: what operators kept after paying winners. It is the only revenue measure in DGE’s release; New Jersey publishes no adjusted or taxable revenue line and no online casino wagers. “n/c” = not comparable: DGE’s tax table changed layout in December 2025, and the Aug 2025 release printed the internet gaming gross revenue tax only, without the 2.5% Investment Alternative Tax.

Online casino and poker

Online casino win was $256.8M, +4.5% year on year, and peer-to-peer poker win was $2.6M (our calculation for both changes). Casino products accounted for almost all of the month’s Internet Gaming Win.

Total Internet Gaming Taxes were $57,709,297, as printed on DGE’s gaming tax schedule: $51,225,106 of 19.75% gross revenue tax plus $6,484,191 of 2.5% Investment Alternative Tax. New Jersey raised the internet gaming rate from 15% to 19.75% from July 2025.

Sports betting

Sports Wagering Revenue was $61.4M (−25.0% year on year, our calculation): $59.7M from online sportsbooks and $1.7M from sportsbook lounges. Total Sports Wagering Taxes were $12,767,931.

DGE’s completed-events table shows $732.4M wagered on events settled in August, with a win of $53.8M (7.3% hold, against 8.9% a year earlier as printed by DGE). Since the July 2026 release DGE no longer prints the Industry Total Sports Wagering Handle including futures, so these handle figures are not comparable with months before July 2026.
