Headline total = Internet gaming (casino + poker). “Gross” and “net” follow New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement definitions (see methodology). — = not reported. Tax as printed in each release. Full precision in the CSV.

Methodology

Every figure is copied exactly, in whole US dollars as printed, from the DGE monthly press release "DGE Announces <Month YYYY> Gaming Revenue Results" (each row links its PDF); no unit conversion was needed. Rows per month: online casino = internet "Other Authorized Games" win; online poker = internet "Peer-to-Peer" win; the total line = DGE's "Internet Gaming Win" (casino + poker) - it is iGaming only and EXCLUDES sports wagering and land-based casino win, so it is not an all-products total; sports betting = "Sports Wagering Revenue" (online + retail/lounge combined; the split is kept in each row's online_sports_revenue / retail_or_lounge_sports_revenue). NJ publishes win (gross revenue) only: there is no adjusted or taxable revenue in the release, so Net is always not reported, and no internet gaming wagers are published, so casino and poker handle are not reported.

TAX FIELD LAYOUTSDGE used different release layouts in this period and the tax column changes meaning with them. Sep 2024 - Nov 2025: tax on the internet gaming total is the internet gaming gross revenue tax only (15%, then 19.75%); the 2.5% Investment Alternative Tax was reported only combined with casino IAT, and sports tax is not reported as a single total (retail and online GRT are kept in tax_detail). Dec 2025 onward (new "Gaming Tax Statistics" page): tax is the printed "Total Internet Gaming Taxes" (GRT + 2.5% IAT) and "Total Sports Wagering Taxes" (online and lounge GRT + 1.25% additional taxes), with every component in tax_detail. Tax figures before and after December 2025 are therefore not like-for-like.

TAX RATESthe internet gaming tax rate rose from 15% to 19.75% and the online sports wagering rate from 13% to 19.75% from July 2025. Since 2025 DGE notes that taxes include the tax impact of eligible promotional gaming credits.

SPORTS HANDLE DEFINITION CHANGE (JULY 2026)through June 2026 sports handle is DGE's Industry Total Sports Wagering Handle, which includes wagers on future events (online/retail split in handle_detail). From the July 2026 release DGE dropped that table and prints only monthly completed-events handle, which is not comparable; July and August 2026 handle is not reported on this page. Do not compare handle across that break. Terminology: 'Retail Sports Wagering' became 'Sportsbook Lounge' and 'Online Sports Wagering' became 'Online Sportsbook' in December 2025 (same concepts). Brand-level Internet Gaming Win rows (operator rows) are included from January 2025; the September-December 2024 releases break internet win out by casino licensee rather than brand, so no brand rows exist for those months. Brand rows sum exactly to the statewide Internet Gaming Win every month. Figures are unaudited and subject to amendment; each row carries the value as first published in that month's release (DGE lists later amendments separately). Year-over-year changes are calculated by us from DGE's gross figures. Do not compare NJ revenue directly with other states: NJ reports win, Michigan taxes adjusted gross receipts, Pennsylvania has no combined iGaming total, and Ontario reports NAGGR in CAD.

Definitions

Gross revenue
Win: amounts wagered less amounts paid out to players, as reported by DGE. The only revenue measure NJ publishes.
Net revenue
Not reported. DGE's release publishes no adjusted or taxable revenue line (promotional deductions appear only in the licensees' tax-return schedules).
Handle
Sports only. Industry Total Sports Wagering Handle incl. futures through June 2026; not reported from July 2026 (DGE switched to completed-events handle). No internet casino or poker wagers are published.
Tax
As printed by DGE; the meaning changes with the release layout: internet gaming GRT only (Sep 2024 - Nov 2025) vs total internet gaming / sports wagering taxes incl. IAT and additional taxes (Dec 2025 on). See methodology.
Total
DGE Internet Gaming Win = online casino + online poker. Excludes sports wagering and land-based casinos.

Figures are nominal and not adjusted for inflation. Regulators sometimes restate prior months; restated rows are footnoted. Spotted an error? Email corrections@igamifynews.com.
