Methodology

One row per bill, from each legislature’s own bill-history page (linked). Included: bills to legalise online casino games or online poker that had at least a committee hearing or floor vote in a 2026 session, plus any enacted. Sports-betting-only bills are excluded. A bill that died in conference, committee or at sine die is marked failed. We found no qualifying 2026 bill in New York, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Louisiana, Georgia, Hawaii, Arkansas, Wyoming, New Hampshire, Iowa or Mississippi. The District of Columbia bill is included although DC is not a state. Rows are re-checked when legislatures meet.
